$18,000 reached!
We reached the $18K stretch goal and can announce the winner of our backer poll. Based upon your votes, the NEW metal color now unlocked is BLACK NICKEL (which we'll call "Electrum" because that just sounds fancier!
Electrum will now be added as a color choice along with antique gold, antique silver, and antique copper when you make your final selections for all coin rewards that offer a color choice! Whenever you choose your color options in BackerKit there will be 4 available now instead of the standard 3. If you have one set you can pick any of the 4 colors, if you have 3 sets you can pick multiples of the same color or any mix of set colors out of the 4. If you wish to have all 4 complete sets then simply add an additional $15 to your pledge to cover the cost of the 4th set!

We are in the last 3 days of our project window so we've got a little room for some more push! Kickstarter usually pushes us up on the advertising and in their "almost finished" section on their main page so we tend to see a large boost PLUS we're doing an awesome cross promotion with a company who produces absolutely STUNNING cards, medals and art which you can find out more about below. We're hoping to get a big boost of momentum here on the final run so that we can try and unlock our last stretch goal for the Hero Coins project! Speaking of which...
$25,000 Stretch Goal Revealed!
"Exquisite armor lay on the floor before him, its craftmanship unlike any he'd ever seen. He knew that the end of his quest lay near yet hesitated here before the final level was upon him. Although his fur bit back the chill, it would do little good against blade and spell compared to this new gift. Should he don it before facing whatever lay above or was it some elaborate trap meant to ensnare him?"
It will be a long shot, but anything is possible! If we reach Stretch Goal #3, we'll be upgrading all deliveries to backers with full retail-style boxes for each individual set of Hero Coins and Metal Condition Counter Tokens that are ever created. This is a free upgrade to the packaging quality for all backers!
The Hero Coins will come in a cardboard box with a clear window and plastic insert in the front so that you can see all of the coins displayed in their front facing beauty. They'll make for excellent display boxes to put on your shelf or have in your collection.
All the Metal Condition Counter Tokens will come with a split-top thick cardboard box which will double as a retail box including gorgeous art and a carrying case. The inside will have a custom foam insert with 15 individual vertical slots made to easily hold and sort your tokens.
To clarify, all Hero Coin sets and Metal Condition Counter Token sets will come with a bag or box during shipping and delivery but crossing this stretch goal will let us dramatically upgrade them to custom full color printed boxes with more features.
Norse Medals
These medals do absolutely speak for themselves. Huge in size, weighty in stature, gorgeous in design. You really do need to see them to believe them! If you're into things that draw the eye and put a sense of wonder and adventure in your heart then these 5mm thick plates of metal will surely make your hands quiver with anticipation to simply touch and admire. Featuring Norse iconography and the practice of gifting symbols of power, courage and luck to those who have earned them or simply need them, they are a true sight to behold.

General Update
We are only $350 away from our $18K Stretch goal! If you check out the poll results, I think it's okay for us to say that the winner is most definitely the Black Nickel option! We don't have any images of our coins in Black Nickel at this time but we did receive an image from our manufacturer of another item made in the same metal. We've also tried to mock up what it's going to look like for you, so take a look!

If you're interested in adding the new Black Nickel option to your rewards you can either choose this as one of your options in place of any other set of colored coins OR if you want all 4 sets you can simply add an extra $15 to your pledge (as long as the total is already including 3 sets of coins! Your 4th, 5th, etc. set will be available for only $15 instead of $20 at that point.)

Our helpful gremlin Moji has been earning his own fanbase and we’ve heard more than a few requests for more items featuring the little guy with a face for trouble. So, we’ve put together a Straw Poll to see what type of things you'd like to see Moji on that would be fun to play with or have on display. October 1 Short Update, stalled at $16k
Hello Backers!
It looks like we've hit a brief stall on the project! We’re already funded and have hit our first stretch goal at $13K… now we’re just a few short of the upcoming stretch goal to add a new metal color to the Hero Coins. We have a few things lined up for next week to stir up the interest, like a newsletter through BackerKit Direct and perhaps a spot or two on some YouTube videos. It seems like this has just been a rough week for Kickstarter in general and we’re no exception.
That's OKAY though!
We're still funded, we've got 11 days to go and more than enough time to regain momentum to hit the next $18k goal… and even the next goal after that if we push hard!
Remember, we're a small company and put all of our money towards making sure you guys get the best of the best when it comes to our products. No skimping, no short cuts. Small company concern, huge company quality! General Update & Druid/Fighter Design Choices!

General Update
Good day backers! We're sitting around $15,800 right now which means we're over half way from our last goal to our new one at $18,000! That's right, only another $2200 or so until we unlock a new coin color and the options are leaning heavily towards the Black Nickel! Make sure if you missed the last vote that you take a moment to pick your favorite option now by clicking the image below! Only 100 votes have been cast!
We're offering a double coin design special today, in the spirit of keeping up with the project since we're already behind with the descriptions and since these particular coins came together with a little more ease than some of the others (I'm looking at you Cleric Coin!) I figured a shorter description would be appreciated :)
Druid Coin Black and White Design
The Druid coin comes from an idea that I have which ties all of the Druidism itself together for me in my games. There are of course Druids of different sects and I really like to subvert expectation when I'm playing them myself so I was sure that would be important in my own designs. While most people seem to immediately lean into the animal magnetism stuff and either want to transform into powerful creatures or have super strong pets, I really like to play the druid's that most people don't really consider AND I like to make sure when I make villains have class levels that they're themed in a way that makes sense from their point of view if you take time to look at it that way.
Of course we have the sun, giver of light and life! The sprouting leaves and twisting vines reaching upwards towards it as they tend to do throughout the realms where such things are abundant. The centerpiece is a gnarled staff, something used to assist the Druid who is keeper of the living things of the world but also representative of the importance of decay. By giving something no longer alive purpose, by utilizing something still perhaps made more important now than what it was when living, the Druid represents not just a champion of the living but of the circle of life itself. Thus, the circle of darkness in which all life and light is encased. The scattering of dead limbs, the encapsulant dark from which life comes and returns. All together, these things become the Druid to me.
Fighter Coin Design Choices
Fighter Coin Black and White Design.
This one was fairly straight forward for me. I've seen it represented in a lot of places so I didn't think it was extremely important to change something that a lot of people immediately recognize as a fighter. There was a debate about the Fighter's Shield and the confusion with the Paladin's Helm but I just couldn't reason my way out of this one. The Fighter represents protection. They are soldier's, they are body guards, they are men and women of war who fight for both good and evil, selflessness and selfishness. Whatever guides them individually can differ greatly but the most common theme players will run across is that of the protector.
An emblazoned and reinforced shield is our centerpiece, something recognizable as a form of defense against that which would seek to harm. Surrounded by buttressed walls, circled bars and spikes or spears that represent both the harshly insurmountable defense that fighter's present to enemies AND the outside forces which seek to assault them. However you want to look at the fighter, whatever weapon or armor or shield they carry, you'll have an instinct inside that tells you to "be wary of this one." Good or bad, you might not know for sure, but dangerous to their enemies... that's for certain.

$13,000 Stretch Goal Unlocked & IMPORTANT Straw Poll

First things first, please visit the link below or click the image to visit a Straw Poll for the final vote on the new color of coin that we'll be unlocking at the new $18,000 stretch goal!
We've officially unlocked the 13th coin and now ALL HERO COIN SETS will have 13 coins included instead of 12. That's a lot of free coins when you add up how many backers and how many sets we'll be making! We've talked about this enough in our previous updates, please check those for more info or ask questions in the comments!
$18,000 Stretch Goal Revealed
Now, officially on to the next goal which has been shown to be at $18,000... a 4th color option! We've included the straw poll at the top for you, just click the link or click the image and you can make your vote! The winning vote will be locked in either right before or right when the stretch goal unlocks. We held a previous survey to break down the options to two that seemed to get the most votes and draw the most questions!
It looks like the leading options are an anodized metal with a rainbow hue or a darker more sinister looking metal with a black nickel effect. We're of course going to call these some fantastical fun names :)
$25,000 Stretch Goal Looms Ahead
"A rattling of steel against the floor above draws the mind to battle! Perhaps glory awaits just up the stairs!" All will be revealed when the $18K Stretch Goal is reached!
To go ahead and clarify here (and we'll repeat this as we post more updates), unlocking a 4th color would mean that any set or coin in mixed sets can be chosen in that color. It will be a Kickstarter Exclusive color that will not be produced in mass for retail sales! Some FAQ's are below!
FAQ ON 4TH COLOR
Will this be included in any orders for free?
No. Anyone can choose this color as one of their existing sets or add the complete set like any other. It just becomes a new 4th option!
Can I pick this color even if I only have 1 set of coins or 1 coin?
Yes.
I want all of the colors and all of the sets, how much will this cost me to add onto my pledge?
The first 3 sets of coins of ANY COLOR cost $20 per set up to a total of $60. Any sets after that, including the 4th set if you wanted to add the entire set to your pledge, would be $15 per set. So if you've got 1 gold set and want a second set in rainbow (or whatever we unlock) then you would need to pledge $40. If you already have 3 sets of coins on your pledge (such as the $75 Full Metal pledge) then you need only add an additional $15 to your pledge to receive a 4th set. You will be able to choose and verify exactly what color sets you'll be receiving during the BackerKit survey after the Kickstarter has ended, so if you didn't pledge enough during the Kickstarter you can add the extra sets there and pay the difference!
Will this color option be available for the Condition Tokens?
No. The condition tokens all come in one color set with shiny silver metal and each coin will have a unique paint color following the scheme posted on the main project page.
If the pure silver collectors coin wins will that mean we don't unlock another full set of color?
No it does not mean that, you will IN FACT still get another color (either rainbow or black nickel!) More on that below!
NOTE about the Pure Silver Collectors Coin Option
We did include a specialty single collectors edition pure silver coin option which would be $50. While the other color options means you can get an entire set of 13 coins in that new color (be it rainbow or black nickel) or add sets to existing pledges as you see fit, the single coin option is a far more expensive add-on for 2 reasons and would have it's own unique design that does not match any existing coins on our project.
1. It's made of one half ounce (1/2 oz) of pure .999 fine silver produced here in the USA and comes with it's own physical weight in silver value.
2. It will be hand hammered on an awesome coin making anvil by ME! I've got a custom made anvil that allows me to place in blanks that are made with certificates of authenticity from the silver supplier and hammer out coins of my own design by hand. How cool is that?
C. I'll also be including a nice little floating coin display case for all the pure silver coins and they'll be numbered :)
